Base Jack & U-head Jack
Heavy-Duty Scaffold Base Jacks & Adjustable U-Head Jacks
A solid, level foundation and precise top-load distribution are non-negotiable for scaffolding structural integrity. Bythai Scaffolding engineering-grade Base Jacks and Adjustable U-Head Jacks provide the ultimate leveling and load-bearing solutions for temporary works. Manufactured from high-strength structural steel tubes (such as Q235), our screw jacks offer smooth, precise height adjustments to compensate for uneven terrain and safely transfer massive vertical loads between modular scaffolding systems, shoring beams, and concrete formwork structures.
Frequently Asked Questions – FAQ
Q1: What is the maximum adjustment height for your scaffolding base jacks?
A: Our standard base jacks have an overall length of 600mm or 750mm. However, according to safety regulations (including EN 12811 guidelines), it is highly recommended to keep at least 150mm or 25% of the jack length inside the scaffolding standard (leg) to ensure maximum bending resistance and structural stability.
Q2: Why do you use rolled threads instead of cut threads for screw jacks?
A: Rolled threads are formed through cold-pressing, which compresses the steel’s grain structure and increases its strength and hardness. Cut threads, on the other hand, remove steel mass and create weak points. Our precision rolled threads ensure the adjustment nut turns smoothly and guarantees zero stripping under high axial loads.
Q3: Are your U-Head Jacks compatible with both timber and aluminum shoring beams?
A: Yes. The internal width of our heavy-duty U-head plate is specifically engineered to accommodate standard timber beams (like H20 beams), aluminum beams, or steel channels. The pre-drilled holes on the U-head plate allow for easy securing with nails or bolts to prevent any lateral shifting during concrete pouring.
